With All Your Heart
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11-14
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you,” declares the Lord..
These verses always bring comfort to my heart. I have them placed in different areas in my home to keep me focused on the good plan that God has and not my own. They are a constant reminder to me of the goodness and faithfulness of God. They keep my focus where it should be. But I noticed something this morning as I was reading these familiar verses. Verse 13 says you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
“With all your heart”… this little phrase caused me to think about how I come before the Lord each morning. Do I truly seek him with “all my heart?” Do I pray prayers with folded hands and a serene expression or am I on my knees, lifting my hands and shedding tears?
Our passionate prayers move the heart of God. And while our prayers don’t change God’s nature, we can sit back and watch God move through our prayers. I love verse 14. It is a result of us seeking the Lord with all of our heart. It states I will be found of you says the Lord.
Oh what a good God we serve! Seek Him with all your heart oh you women of God… His promise is sure!
Til next time,
